With the Aug. 2 primary election a little over a month away, the Clay County Circuit Clerk’s Office is busy sending out absentee voting applications to residents unable to vote on election day, and absentee voting is expected to begin soon.
Residents who receive absentee voting applications must complete the form and have it notarized at the Circuit Clerk’s Office unless the absentee voter is temporarily or permanently disabled. If the absentee voter is temporarily or permanently disabled, the application must be signed by a witness who is 18 years of age or older.
