A Nativity Scene in Mississippi! A group who calls themselves Mississippi Atheists have gotten in touch with the ACLU to see if they can make Gov. Bryant remove the offensive scene. Really.
Has the world gone completely nuts!? Uh..itâ€™s CHRISTMAS! Duh. CHRISTmas.
Thomas and Ivy Mann of West Point are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their granddaughter, Lacee J. Mann, to Christopher Wesley Harris, son of Jimmy and Donna Harris of West Point.
The bride-elect attended West Point High School and is continuing her education at East Mississippi Community College in the Fall.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Nadine Harris and the late E.J. Harris and the late Wesley and Catherine Gaskin.
He is a 2002 graduate of West Point High School.
He is currently employed with Crawford Inc.

With 13 healthy players on the roster now, including all four seniors, Oak Hill is primed to hit their stride going into the district season.
In their best performance of the year, the Raiders proved they will be district title contenders in a convincing 62-46 win over Immanuel. Several players made huge contributions in the Tuesday night contest.
Oak Hill started off on the right foot in district play with a Tuesday night sweep of Immanuel.
The Lady Raiders won convincingly in a 53-11 pounding of the Lady Rams to begin their chase for a district championship. Oak Hill distributed the scoring load all throughout the roster and forced 30 turnovers while committing only 10 of their own. Immanuel had no answers for the Lady Raiders, who were scoring at will. Oak Hill, now 7-2 on the year, advanced to 1-0 in conference play and will face Winston Academy in Louisville Friday night.
West Point traveled to Aberdeen in their first true road test. In a game that was closely contested, Aberdeen was able to pull away in the second half to go on to win 88-66.
The Lady Wave needed to find a way to stop their losing skid. In Aberdeen Friday night, West Point put in a great team effort and defeated the Lady Bulldogs 49-11.

It took a lot of strength, a lot of focus and a positive, self-motivated spirit to successfully complete the Clay County Misdemeanor Drug Court Program, and these are the very qualities Andrew Smith and Dantun Fair possessed throughout the entire program.
And those attributes along with support from the Misdemeanor Drug Court team earned Smith and Fair the titles of the first graduates of the Misdemeanor Drug Court, where they were honored Friday during a graduation ceremony held for them.
The Sixteenth Circuit Court District is asking the Clay County Circuit Court for an order that would grant the West Point Police Department permission to keep certain criminal documentation confidential â€“ documentation that is wanted in a recent wrongful death lawsuit.
The lawsuit was filed months ago by Aubrey Mitchell, who is suing Ridgewood East Apartments and UAH Property Management, for the death of his son, Devin Mitchell, who was shot and killed at the apartment complex Jan. 1, 2012.
