The Girl Scouts of Heart of the South have received their cookies and are ready to deliver to those who placed their orders. Samantha Whiteâ€™s Brownie Troop No. 23156, sold 1,059 boxes of cookies during the 2013 campaign. The Girl Scouts will be at the West Point Walmart Supercenter, Saturday, February 23, with cookies for sale in case anyone didnâ€™t get the opportunity to pre-order their cookies. LISLE, Ill., Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Navistar Defense, LLC, already a key supplier to the Afghan National Army (ANA) and Afghan National Police (ANP), has received an urgent delivery order from the U.S. Army (TACOM LCMC) to retrofit 205 armored cabs onto Navistar Medium Tactical Vehicles (MTV) currently designated for service with the Afghan National Security Forces.
As the March 12 Special Election to fill the empty seat for District 36 approaches, the odds are not with constituents of that district having a vote during the current legislative session.

It was last April when 26-year-old Amonty Young of West Point was sentenced as a habitual offender to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to the charge of uttering forgery. Now Young is petitioning Clay County Circuit Court to toss out the judgement on several bases, including an alleged violation by the grand jury of Clay County.
The Clay County Sheriff Department needs your help in locating a 2007 Polaris 700 4-wheeler stolen from a barn located on Highway 45 North Alt., West Point, MS.
The theft occurred on February 16, 2013 or the early morning hours of February 17, 2013. The 4-wheeler is black and gray in color with a winch on front with the serial number 4XAMH68A17A967061.

Doris T. Bandy, 91, passed away this week. Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by Calvert Funeral Home of West Point.
One student at West Point High School, Oak Hill Academy and Hebron Christian School is going to get a little help with college next fall, providing they are planning to attend Mississippi State University.
The MSU Alumni Chapter in West Point will be hosting its fourth-annual golf tournament to raise money for scholarships that will go to one Bulldog-bound student from each area high school.
The golf tournament, which will be played on May 6, 2013 is the primary way the chapter raises money for these scholarships.
