A Mississippi Senate Bill requesting the consolidation of the West Point School District and the Clay County School District is now being considered by the Mississippi House of Representatives Education Committee.
The Bill, which passed the Senate last Friday, was sent to the House Education Committee this Thursday.

A West Point, Mississippi native Jefferson is well traveled. And even though the Wikipedia page does not fill in the blanks, I want to make those blanks disappear and fill them in with his story.

The Girl Scouts of Heart of the South have received their cookies and are ready to deliver to those who placed their orders. Samantha Whiteâ€™s Brownie Troop No. 23156, sold 1,059 boxes of cookies during the 2013 campaign. The Girl Scouts will be at the West Point Walmart Supercenter, Saturday, February 23, with cookies for sale in case anyone didnâ€™t get the opportunity to pre-order their cookies. The theft occurred on February 16, 2013 or the early morning hours of February 17, 2013. The 4-wheeler is black and gray in color with a winch on front with the serial number 4XAMH68A17A967061.
