The Hebron Christian Lady Eagles went into the Christmas break with a two-game losing streak, which were the only two losses of the season so far for the girls. On Monday, they got a chance to hit the court for some tournament play at Immanuel Christian, hoping to get a win before facing Winston Academy next Tuesday.
Facing the Lady Wolverines of East Webster, the Lady Eagles came out on top 57-35, in spite of a first-half power outage that delayed the contest for over an hour.

The Hebron Christian Eagles spent nearly all four quarters of Monday morning’s game with Tupelo Christian shaking off the rust of the Christmas break, but they finally did so and barely slipped past the opposing Eagles team 54-53.
Tupelo swished a three-point shot at the buzzer, but thanks to a pair of free throw shots sunk by Carlton Clay second earlier, it was unable to do any damage to the Hebron lead.

The Hebron Christian Lady Eagles ran into some tough competition and tough luck down the stretch of the first half of the 2010-2011 regular season. That last week of action, however, is not how the first portion of the season should be remembered.
The Lady Eagles faced arguably the top girls hoops program in the state in Leake Academy, and they turned right back around and played the Oak Hill Academy Lady Raiders, who entered the season at No. 4 in the state, and have been playing up to that ranking as of late.

The Hebron Christian Eagles boys hoops team is tough. With their only district loss of the season coming to Immanuel, the Eagles have built a strong 8-3 record going into the second half of the season.
The Eagles said going into the season that they would have an offense built around seniors Carlton Clay and Chad Smith.
Clay and Smith have not disappointed anyone so far this season, but there is more to this team than those two guys.
