Thanks to a good showing at the Immanuel Christian Tournament last week, the Hebron Christian Lady Eagles will not have to re-enter the basketball season on a two-game losing streak.
The Lady Eagles had been defeated by Leake and Oak Hill, consecutively, to end the portion of the season prior to Christmas, but they returned for two games in last week’s tourney and got two wins.
They will take that momentum into tonight’s match against Winston Academy.

On Saturday, the Mississippi State Bulldogs (9-4) finished off a fine season by capturing a 52-14 victory over Michigan in the Progressive Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla.
Helping to put the icing on the cake was former West Point standout Michael Carr. Carr’s 31-yard touchdown catch late in the fourth quarter of the blowout might have gotten lost in the other six MSU scored on the day, but the score was more than just six points to the freshman.
It was Carr’s first career college touchdown.
