Stevens honored with Valentine's luncheon
Harmons Celebrate Golden Anniversary
Bobby and Barbara Harmon of Cedar Bluff celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary, Feb. 20, at the home of their daughter Cindy Terry.
The Harmons were married Feb. 25, 1961, in West Point. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
Their children gave them an anniversary party, where family and friends enjoyed punch and cake. The couple were presented with gifts and many warm wishes on this joyous occasion.
Cunningham, Hoskins engagement
Arthur Cunningham and Mary Lee Hoskins are proud to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, March 26, 2011, at The West Point Civic Center, at 3 p.m.

Wallace Jones, age 84, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services are Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Town Creek M.B. Church, with Pastor Avis Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion White M.B. Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.

Charles Edward Montgomery
Charles Edward Montgomery, age 51, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services are Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. from the J.F. Carter Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Carl J. Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel M.B. Church Cemetery in Starkville, Miss.
Visitation is Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the J.F. Carter Memorial Chapel.

Lula Tublin Taylor Jennings, age 89, passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in Tupelo, Miss.
Funeral services are Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at noon from Pleasant Plain M.B. Church in Prairie, Miss., with the Rev. Henry Gladney officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Plain M.B. Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, from 3 – 7 p.m. from Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Okolona, Miss.

The Oak Hill Academy Raiders (0-1) hit the diamond for the first time against regular season competition on Tuesday afternoon. Hosting Heritage Academy, the Patriots were able to put up seven unearned runs in a 10-0 defeat of the Raiders.
“We finished the game better than we started,” Bratton said. “The first inning was positive. The second inning, they gave us opportunities to make plays, and we didn’t. I saw a little more enthusiasm than I saw Friday night, during the pre-season game. We finished stronger at the end than we started out.”
Ann Winters Littleton
Ann Winters Littleton, age 80, passed away, Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 at the McGraw Center-Community Hospice, in Jacksonville, Fla.
Ann Winters Littleton was born May 14, 1930, in Greenwood, Miss., to the late Pearlie Mae Corker and Samuel Winters. She moved to Jacksonville Beach, Fla., June 1, 2010. Mrs. Littleton was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of West Point. She was a member of Martha Chapter #53 Order ofthe Eastern Star. Ann Winters Littleton married Harlan Eugene Littleton July 23, 1955, Greenwood, Miss., who predeceased her May 15, 2001.

Prophet Johnny Lee Chambers, 66, passed away, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at his home,
in West Point, Mississippi. Johnny Lee Chambers was born December 4, 1944 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to the late Lucille
Elizabeth Hargus and Noah Arlie Chambers and Prophet Chambers was a International Evangelist. He was of the Non-
Denominational faith. Johnny Lee Chambers married Margaretta Priscilla Ware Chambers on November 19, 2005, Tuscaloosa, AL.

The only playoff loss for the Hebron Christian Lady Eagles in 2011 was to Sharkey-Issaquena, a team out of the Delta, on Saturday.
The Lady Eagles will get a chance to rebound against another team from that region today, when they face the girls of Delta Academy.
Hebron faces Delta after one of its best defensive battles of the season against Newton on Monday. The Lady Eagles prevailed 45-22 in that game.
The Lady Eagles allowed four points in the first, seven in the second, six in the third and five in the fourth to Newton’s offense.
