Lady Raiders, Raiders head to Kirk Academy Classic

Oak Hill Academy's basketball teams continue their holiday tournament stretch today in the Kirk Academy 2014 Basketball Classic in Grenada.
The Lady Raiders tip off against the Carroll Academy Lady Rebels at 10:30 a.m. on the campus of Kirk Academy, followed by the boys match-up with Carroll slated for 11:45 a.m. The opening games start a three-game stretch in the classic as Oak Hill will play North Delta School Friday afternoon and DeSoto School Saturday morning.

Simmons retires after 45 years

Mike Simmons has been matching the needs of his clients with the best insurance coverage at affordable prices for 45 years. He began his career at Moseley – White Insurance in 1969. He remained at that office until 1992, when he went to work for Galloway, Chandler, McKinney Insurance. He has now decided the time has come to retire.
