• Last month, West Point Chief of Police recommended that the Board of Mayor and Selectmen assess a $1 fee on each Municipal Court fine to help fund the city's D.A.R.E. Program. But Brinkley said after speaking with D.A.R.E. advocate Bill East and going back and “crunching numbers”, he feels an assessment of $2 on each court fee would serve the D.A.R.E. Program better.

Potential investors looking at vacant properties in the city of West Point won't have to worry about paying to remove environmentally hazardous materials from the site thanks to the city's Brownfield Grants.
