Glenn Edward Smith age 65, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation was Monday, March 18, 2013, from 1 – 2:30 p.m. at St. Marks United Methodist Church on Grants Ferry Rd. in Brandon. with a 2:30 p.m. Memorial Service to follow the visitation at the church.
Last week, the city board of selectmen and other officials pledged support to repair and beautify the Sam Wilhite Transportation museum on Depot Drive. All agreed the structure had been neglected since it was relegated to “appointment only” hours in 2010. Above, the building is already seeing a drastically improved look after the city trimmed the bushes surrounding the museum. Joanne Conerly Westbrook age 84, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center, in Tupelo.
It came within a matter of minutes. Snapping trees in two, ripping power lines from utility polls, knocking one lady to the ground.
