BREAKING: West Point man found dead; homicide suspected

West Point Police Department is investigating a suspected murder on Lone Oak Drive in West Point.
According to WPPD statement, at about 5 a.m., officers responded to a residence at 2633 Lone Oak Drive in reference to a body found in the home. Officers arrived to find Randy Kelly, 41, of West Point in bed with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene.

WP Mossy Oak crew working with new technology for TV

Production crews with Mossy Oak’s media division are about to have a new tool in their arsenal when it comes to outdoor footage. Staffers are working out the bugs on the DGI Phantom, a device which can navigate intricate aerial shots from as high as 6,560 in the air in high definition.

It could be a significant change in the way Mossy Oak produces its 104 yearly 30-minute episodes for programs aired on the Outdoors Channel and Pursuit TV.

CLARIFICATION: Blackout scheduled for Saturday morning, not Friday morning

The Daily Times Leader reported in Thursday's edition the citywide blackout is scheduled to occur 1 - 6 a.m. Friday. However, the blackout is actually scheduled to occur during the same time frame initially reported, but is to instead take place Saturday morning.
