Arts Council plans for busy, fun 2013

The West Point/Clay County Arts Council had a productive 2012, and the organization which promotes the arts county-wide is taking that momentum into 2013.
There are many monthly activities the Arts Council has already set in stone for this year, and there will likely be more added to the list as the year rolls along.
Monte Brasfield, an Arts Council leader says the group will host many of the same activities it has in the past, but it has created new ones, including a Spring festival, the Art Walk, which will take place on Saturday, April 13.

Growth Alliance seeks nominations for West Point Hall of Fame and Citizen of the Year

Each year the West Point/Clay County Community Growth Alliance recognizes individuals for their contributions to the betterment of West Point and Clay County at the Annual Banquet. This year the Growth Alliance is asking the citizens of West Point and Clay County to participate in the selection of award recipients in two categories, West Point Hall of Fame and Citizen of the Year.
