WPHS got a jump on all the paperwork needed for the students to begin the 2012-2013 school year.
Parent Orientation was held at the North Campus for the entire high school. Lines were long at each of the 13 different tables requiring signatures from parents, students names, the grade the child was entering and all sorts of information needed at the beginning of each school year.
Proof of residency was a requirement this year for every student. Two forms of I.D. were needed to assure that children are enrolled in the correct school district.
Thomas "Tom" Blaylock
Thomas "Tom" Blaylock, age 80, retired manager at Futorian Mfg. died Monday at his residence in Eupora. Funeral services are 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at the Eupora First Baptist Church, with burial in the Webster Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Visitation is from 1-4 p.m. today, at Eupora First Baptist Church.
Thomas Blaylock was the brother of Peggy Ingram and the uncle of Ann Wilkerson. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is in charge of all arrangements.
James White “Jimmy” Pryor
James White “Jimmy” Pryor of Tupelo, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012, at his home after an extended illness.
Edward E. “Big Ed” Walker Sr.
Edward Walker Sr., age 69, passed away July 29, 2012, in Meridian.
Mr. Walker was born July 19, 1943, in Ill., to the late Charles C. Walker and Nina Wigginton Walker. Mr. Walker drove a truck for Bryan Foods for 35 years and was a member of the Sons of American Legion, Post #26.
