Lee Richard Calvert
Lee Richard Calvert, age 43, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Funeral services are Friday, June 1, 2012, at 1 p.m. from Shady Grove McCondy M.B. Church, with the Rev. Darrick Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove McCondy Cemetery.
Visitation is today, from 2 – 5 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.
Carter's Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements.
Leonard S. Wray Jr.
Leonard S. Wray Jr., age 91, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford.
He was a retired railroad clerk for ICG Railroad, a farmer, and a member of Artesia Methodist Church. He was a WWII Army veteran, where he was a Merrill's Marauder and he also served in Here's Your Infantry. He received the bronze star, a silver star and other medals.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Shook Wray; and son, Leonard S. Wray, III.

May the 26th, 2012 at 5:35 p.m. the "dark angel of death" visited our small happy home and took from us our most precious jewel, Jesse Wayne Peay, one of the noblest and most "Christian Hearted" men of 55 years. Now, that noble heart, throbbing with gentleness, kindness and goodness, has ceased to beat forever, those loving eyes have gazed upon the beauties of this earth for the last time. Melissa Harvey Dockery
Melissa Harvey Dockery, M.D., of Little Rock, Arkansas, was born in July 1955, to Mary Stansel Harvey and Edwin “Buddy” Harvey and grew up in the small Mississippi Delta town of Ruleville. She died May 24, 2012, of complications from esophageal cancer. Melissa bravely lived her time with cancer as she lived her life: strong, self assured, involved, and always with a sense of humor.

Dorothy Ann Tillman Hoyt, lovingly known as “Dot”, age 81, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012.
Graveside services are today, Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at noon at Fairmount Cemetery, in San Angelo, Texas. A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Hoyt's life and her faith will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 10 a.m. at The Wesleyan at Estrella, in Georgetown, Texas.

Ruby Gibson "Dot" Beatty
Ruby Gibson "Dot" Beatty, 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Dogwood Forest Assisted Living Facility in Gainesville, Ga.
Ruby Gibson "Dot" Beatty was born Feb. 5, 1933, in Columbus to the late Lida Bell Lollar and Linwood Gibson. She was a Case Worker with Clay County Welfare Department for 10 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in West Point. Mrs. Beatty has lived in Clay County and West Point since 1956. She married Lennis Beatty Dec. 29, 1951, in Columbus and he preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 2007 .
