WEST POINT, – The LINK is unveiling the region’s newest megasite, the Prairie Belt Powersite. The event will be held Tuesday, October 30, at 5:30 pm at The Civic, 130 6th Street, West Point. This event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend to support West Point-Clay County’s economic development efforts.
Located in West Point, Mississippi, the Powersite is south of Hazelwood road, approximately three miles east of U.S. Highway 45 Alternate. This site is the first master planned, industrial megasite in Clay County.
The Oak Hill Academy Raiders (5-5; 1-3) have had some kind of a turn-around season in 2012.
The Raiders did not win a single game during the 2011 campaign, but under new leadership the team has rebounded for five regular season wins with one to go.
That one game that is left is perhaps the biggest of the season. If the Raiders win against Immanuel on Friday night, Oak Hill will have done its job in terms of setting itself up for a playoff appearance.
