Rev. James H. "Skeet" Davis, age 59, passed away, Friday, July 15, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center, in Tupelo, Miss.

Byron Gregg Jr., age 57, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011, at his home in Raleigh, N.C.
Byron Gregg Jr., was born Nov. 13, 1954 at Ivy Memorial Hospital, in West Point, Miss., along with a twin sister.
No local service, burial is in N. C.
Mr. Gregg was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Campbell Gregg.
He is survived by his father, Byron Gene Gregg Sr., and stepmother Martha Gregg of Columbus, Miss.; and numerous siblings.
Patricia Ann â€śPatâ€ť Bean Sanders
Patricia Ann â€śPatâ€ť Bean Sanders, age 72, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at North MS Medical Center in West Point.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 5:00 PM at Old Aberdeen Road Church of Christ in West Point with Terry Butler and Kenny White officiating. Visitation will be after the service, beginning at 6:00 PM. Following her wishes, her body has been cremated.
Three little girls from West Point are alive today after being saved Monday morning from a fire that shot through the storage room and the attic of a home, which they were asleep in, when the fire began.

Annette Price of West Point, Miss., and Samuel Price Jr., of Chicago, Ill., are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter Malikah Carolyn Price to Overton Keith Moore, son of Ms. Dorothy Moore of West Point, Miss., and the late Ned Evans.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Elder and Mrs. Albert Price of West Point, and Mrs.Willie Emma Price of Enterprise, Miss., and the late Samuel Price Sr., and Mrs. Maggie Tubbs of Dorchester, Mass.
Vassar, Chandler Engagement
Reginald Robinson of Gulfport, Miss., is pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of his daughter, Sharnae Vassar, daughter of the late Vickey Vassar, to Jamar Chandler, son of Jimmy L. Chandler and Ruth Chandler of Pheba, Miss.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Georgia Vassar and Bennie Vassar of Amory, Miss., and Ronetta Robinson of Gulfport, Miss.
She is a 2007 graduate of Starkville High School, and currently majoring in Physical Therapy from East Mississippi Community College in Mayhew.
Terry Maxwell Bell, Sr.
Terry Maxwell Bell Sr., age 58, passed away Wednesday July 13, 2011, at Choctaw County Hospital.
Terry Maxwell Bell Sr., was born Aug. 4, 1952, in Starkville, to the late Johnny Bell and Lois Ivy.
There will be no services.
He is survived by two sons: Joseph Bell of Pheba, T. J. Bell of West Point; one brother, Jimmy Bell of West Point; one sister, Ann Bell of Louisville; and four grandchildren: Cierra Bell, Gracie Bell, Chase Bell, and Joseph Austin Bell.
Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Larry Wayne Oliver
Larry Wayne Oliver, age 30, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011, in Ashtabula, Ohio. Larry Wayne Oliver was a native of Amory. He was born Jan. 12, 1981, to Charles Morgan Oliver and the late Patricia K. Brown Oliver.
Larry Wayne Oliver lived in Amory for many years and was a truck driver employed by North Mississippi Development Group in Oxford. He was a member of River Bend Baptist Church. He loved to play with his children, especially chess and enjoyed playing his guitar.

Think back to the Pinewood Derby, only now it's with vegetables. The races will start at 5 pm under the pavilion at Mossy Oak, Thursday July 21. Registration for the event starts at 4 pm.
Hebron Christianâ€™s Tri Nason will be back on the sidelines this fall for the Eagles, only with a few more responsibilities.
Nason was promoted to head football coach this off-season after Greg Watkins left for Immanuel Christian and says heâ€™s had a pretty busy summer in Pheba.
â€śAs far as the turnouts for the strength and conditioning for the summer, itâ€™s probably the best itâ€™s been since Iâ€™ve been there as an assistant,â€ť Nason said. â€śThe guys are pretty excited about working hard.â€ť
