The West Point High School fast-pitch softball team survived some early mistakes on Monday night against Noxapater’s softball girls. The game turned into a slugfest after the fourth inning, but it was the Lady Wave who came out on top 15-13 in the win.
“We had a lot of adversity early,” said head coach Brian Sellars. “We fought through the adversity well. We kept our heads up and stayed positive.”
Abby Turner got the start for West Point, and she struck out 10 batters in seven innings, including three in the first.
