The Oak Hill Lady Raiders went on a second half onslaught Monday night, outscoring Heritage 24-9 to earn a 44-33 over the Lady Pats for the second time this season.
Tori Ellis scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Lady Raiders, who were were handed just their second loss of the season last week to Starkville Academy.
Rachel Herndon chipped in with nine points as Maegan Ellis and Shay Atkins contributed with six and five respectively,
Hebron girls head basketball coach William Cotton said he would have liked to have won by double digits but a nine point margin is still a victory. The Lady Eagles went on a 10-point run in the last four minutes to seal their sixth win on the season Monday night, 52-43 over MAIS AA Carroll Academy.
Cotton admits the girls were a little rusty coming off the Thanksgiving break.
“Our timing was off, our speed passes were off,” he said. “We just weren’t clicking on all cylinders, but we played good enough to win.
