Marie Norman
Marie Norman, age 98, passed away, Sunday, Oct.2, 2011, at the Baptist Health Systems Medical Center in Jackson. Marie Norman was born Sept. 21, 1913 in Lyman, to the late Edda Dickson Norman and Lonnie Norman. Miss. Norman was a Office Manager for Bryan Foods-Sara Lee for 40 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Graveside funeral services are today, Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
James Allan “Rocky” Holliday
James Allan “Rocky” Holliday, age 75, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at his residence in Columbus. Funeral services are today, Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Sam Morris and the Rev. Tony Proctor officiating. Burial will follow at Palo Alto Cemetery in Clay County.
Jessie Mae Hardy
Jessie Mae Hardy, age 84, passed away, Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. Jessie Mae Hardy was born Dec. 11, 1926, in Carrollton, Pickens County Ala., to the late Jeddie Cook Wilson and Troy Wilson. She was a seamstress working in manufacturing and later did alterations for B & S Laundry She was of the Baptist faith. Jessie Mae Hardy was married to John Edwin Hardy, who preceded her in death Oct. 24, 1990.
