Hope Elizabeth McBride
Joshua and Amanda McBride of Mathiston would like to announce the birth of their daughter Hope Elizabeth.
Hope was born June 25, 2010 at 8:55 p.m. at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. She weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and was 19 and one fourth inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Debra Maynard of West Point and the late Harrison âHapâ Maynard.
Maternal great grandparents are Donna Baker of West Point and the late Denver Baker and the late Leonard and Mary Louise Harpst.
Paternal grandparents are Danny and Barbara McBride of Mathiston.
Mr. Vincent Miles of Aberdeen, and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Byram of Amory, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Katherine Carmen Miles, to Joseph Barrett Clark. son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Clark of Amory.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Miles of Aberdeen, and Mrs. Virginia Loden of Nettleton, and the late Mr. Jud Loden.
Gerald L. âJerryâ Higginbotham
Gerald L. âJerryâ Higginbotham, age 72, passed away Thursday July 29, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center of West Point.
Mr. Higginbotham was born June 17, 1938, in West Point to the late Iola Smith and John Higginbotham. He served in the United States Army and retired from Babcock & Wilcox as a C fitter. He was a minister at the Church of God for several years and was a member of the Pentecostal Gospel Light House Pentecostal Church of God.
Lora Mae "Nannie" Davis
Lora Mae "Nannie" Davis, age 90, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Lora Mae Davis was born April 12, 1920, in Ingomar, to the late Lena Swords and Clifford C. Raines. Mrs. Davis worked at Knickerbocker Manufacturing for 20 years. She was a member of West End Baptist Church. Her husband Jewell Hayward Davis, preceded her in death on February 15, 1970.
