Lady Raiders crush Manchester

The West Point Lady Green Wave defense put on a show on Friday night, giving the home crowd a second straight win here in West Point as they defeated Aberdeen 55-33.
Most of Aberdeen’s scoring came in the last quarter, and by the time they were able to put some real points on the board, Kelsei Ewings and the Lady Wave had already mounted a sizable lead.
In the first quarter, West Point came out exploding on both sides of the ball. Ewings led the offense to 17 points in the first period, and the defense held Aberdeen to just five points.

Manchester’s Peaster too much for Raiders in district match

Things did not start well for the Oak Hill Academy Raiders on Friday night, and by they time they got the offense going, district rival Manchester had already run up a huge lead in the 54-31 loss to the Mavericks at home.
The Raiders got credit for their first district win on Tuesday, after Winston Academy forfeited the scheduled match to Oak Hill. Friday night was the first time Oak Hill has been on the court against a district opponent this season.

Hebron girls stay unbeaten in home win

Make it 13 in a row to start the season for the Hebron Christian Lady Eagles. On Friday night, the girls took the court against district rival Immanuel, and the Lady Eagles cruised to a 45-31 victory over the Lady Rams to make it a perfect 13-0 start to the season.
In the first two quarters, the Lady Rams were in the ball game, scoring 10 points in the first 16 minutes of play. Hebron, however, was that much better with 27 points in the first two periods, taking a 27-20 lead into the half.

Eagles fall to Rams at home

The Hebron Christian Eagles (7-2; 1-1) were looking to stay undefeated in district play on Friday night, but they could not score consistently against the Rams, as Immanuel took the league game 44-33.
Carlton Clay, who had scored over 100 points in his last three games, had only three on the night for Hebron.
The Eagles were led in scoring by Will Corbin Rogers, who put up 12 points on the night for the Eagles. David Kinard scored eight, and Kevin Simmons also had three. Taylor Coggins and Chad Smith both scored two points.
