Coy Jean Farley and Brad Allen Burgess were united in marriage at three o’clock in the afternoon on June 26, 2010, at Maben Methodist Church. Officiating ministers were Rev. Scarlet Shepperd and Rev. Raleigh Richter.

"Tippy" Stephens

“Tippy" Stephens, age 75, passed away, Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. "Tippy" Stephens was born June 10, 1935, in Ashland, Clay County Ala., to the late Myrthur Lydia Riddle and Cecil Marvin Jenkins. She worked in computer programing and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala. Mrs. Stephens came to West Point in 1968, from Birmingham, Ala., where she lived for thirteen years. Sarah Jeanette "Tippy" Stephens married Dr. Joe K. Stephens on April 4, 1968, in Amory.

Hugh Milton Moore

Hugh Milton Moore, age 82, passed away, Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at his home, in the Palestine Community.
Hugh Milton Moore was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Montpelier to the late Maggie Lou Pate Moore and Charles Andrew Moore. Hugh M. Moore worked in management for Babcock & Wilcox Company for 38 years and was also a lifelong farmer. Hugh M. Moore married Ruth Alice Madison Moore on Oct. 5, 1951, in Prairie.
